Handmade spinning-top in sustainable Icelandic Birch

Keilir is a handmade spinning-top carefully crafted by an Icelandic woodworker, using only raw Icelandic birch. It is a subtle, yet constructive counter-offer to go back to simplicity and enjoy brief moments that life has to offer. The bark remains on certain spinning-tops in order to provide the user with a new experience and an opportunity to connect with Icelandic nature and the live material.

Keilir has been carefully handcrafted by 79 year old artisan Ólafur Ingvi Ólafsson in the Westfjords, with a traditional woodworking technique called woodturning.
